As of right now, it’s uncertain If Joey Belladonna is just in Anthrax for The Big Four or not. That hasn’t been made clear yet.
But what is for sure is Joey is the singer who made it through some of the loudest and most crowd pleasing years of Anthrax.
I have had the chance to meet Joey and watch him play with his current band (according to his site is still together [cool]). Joey is the nicest person you will ever meet. Very comfortable to be around. Nondrinker, no drugs and a super loud active personality. His voice hasn’t spoiled at all. I sat at his show in Houston a year or so back, I felt like I was the only person in the room who was amazed at the chance to listen to him in real life. I saw him with Anthrax the year before John Bush took over. But I was just 20 Year old tard sitting 40000 feet away. This was different. I shook his hand before they went on this time, and I shot video after and I got pictures.
Funny thing. I never even knew he was gone from Anthrax. I just know I didn’t like any of the albums that came from them from 2002 on up. I just wasn’t interested in what they played..
so it is only fitting that in the Big Four We see Joey Pop up. If anything This could be the last hurrah for Anthrax, and well, Anthrax needs Joey, Joey needs Anthrax. Together, they are metal. They are what metal is about.
AMC theater In Houston Shows the Big Four on the 22nd of june and an Encore on the 24th.
Joey is about to see money rolling in that he hasn’t seen in years. Anthrax could pull this off without him because it’s already booked. but truth is It will be more memorable with joey. And clearly better with Joey. I do not dislike John, just not interested. It would be cool if he popped in for a couple songs and could possibly be as good spirited as Joey. That would be the end all (lol). Would even be kinda cool to hear him do back up for the Joey songs and hear Joey do back up for the John songs. That would easily be a huge budget though.
Still no mention of a USA Tour Date.
